1 Peter 2:1-10
Rev Jennifer A G Layte
"We’re going to see that everything Peter learned wasn’t just for him and his own transformation, but is for us and ours, too. Through it all, Peter is going to show us who, through God’s grace, we are to each other and to the world in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior."

The sound quality of a recording made by a smartphone on the floor under a chair is dubious. However, this day was momentous in the life of Pastor Jenn and our congregation, and we would be honored to have you share in it with us--even via a recording made by a smartphone on the floor under a chair.

Matthew 16:13-28
Pastor Jennifer A G Layte
"Jesus wants to be known, too. And this makes total sense. Jesus is God, somehow contained in a human being. And way back in Exodus, when Moses asks God what His name is, God answers? I AM. We talked in our Glory series about how glory is the essence of something, and God Himself is essence. He is existence. He is being. So of course He wants us to know who He is. And! Of course we want to know who we are. We are made in God’s image."

Matthew 14:13-33
Pastor Jennifer A G Layte
"We like to make fun of Peter for being maybe a little bit headlong and stupid, but this is about his relationship with his Lord. He loves Jesus. The world will definitely tell us that’s stupid. The Bible calls it the “foolishness of God.” Because it’s really the smartest thing we could ever do with our lives. Maybe, really, Peter was the smartest disciple. Think about it."
